High school students, you can take technical and skills-based programs that lead to in-demand, high-paying careers -- while you're still in high school!
There are three main ways to take career and technical classes:
UpLink is a 海角社区 career-focused academy that enables Junior & Senior high school students to attend CTE classes. Students spend half the day at 海角社区, morning or afternoon dependent on program, and half the day at their high school meeting graduation requirements.
Offering over 15 different programs, UpLink is a great way for high school students to get on campus and jumpstart their education and career training.
SkillStack replaces the program formerly know as Tech Prep and is an opportunity for students to earn college credit for technical courses through high school programs. Credits are competency based.
Some schools offer Technical Dual Credit through courses such as welding, drafting, certified nursing assistant or agriculture. These classes follow all policies and deadlines as academic dual credit classes. See main Dual Credit page for details.
