Counseling Services

Connection, community, acceptance-- people experience far more success in school and work when these are in place.  海角社区 Counseling Services offers Licensed Professional Counselors to help our students take the best care of their emotional and mental health.

Sometimes people only need one or two sessions to work through an issue they’re struggling with, and other times they might need more. This is a safe zone to be as honest and real as you want, without judgment, and it’s completely confidential.  And, if you're wondering how much this is going to cost, don't worry. Personal counseling is free to currently registered 海角社区 students.

Additionally, 海角社区 Counseling Services regularly provides information about health and wellness to all students, as well as offering workshops to help you gain important skills like avoiding test anxiety.

Counseling Services are located upstairs on the East side of the Taylor Building. Please call 208-732-6260 or drop by our office for more information or to schedule an appointment.  We can even schedule virtual appointments using web conferencing.  More information can also be found on the 海角社区 Counseling Services website.

海角社区 Safety Committee

The mission statement of the 海角社区 Safety Committee is to "promote campus-wide awareness of safety issues, help to assess safety concerns on campus and to facilitate their resolution."

For more details go to the 海角社区 Safety Committee webpage.

Food for Students

Gilbert's Pantry is an emergency food relief supply for all 海角社区 students.  If you need a little help, we will always respect your privacy, and the process of receiving donations will be confidential.  Help is available for non-food items, too!

Drop the form off to us at the Student Affairs Office, located on the 2nd floor of the Taylor Building or email it to rlopez@csi.edu. Once we receive your request, items will be available for pickup or delivery within 3-5 business days.

And, if you'd like to help out, donations and service hours are always welcome!

Student Health

We want to promote your physical and mental well-being as a 海角社区 student, and we encourage you to make positive lifestyle choices.

海角社区 contracts with Physicians Immediate Care Center (PICC) to offer some basic health care services to current full-time and part-time students who are enrolled in credit courses and have paid their tuition and fees in full or have entered into a Tuition Loan Agreement with 海角社区.

PICC accepts students on a walk-in basis, so no appointment is necessary. Some services are provided free of charge, while others may be available for a fee. Services provided are contingent on the availability of funds. Students may be referred to other providers or various tests may be performed for a fee. Services are not available in-between semesters.

Veteran's Services

We aim to help veterans transition to successful civilian careers through higher education and providing resources within the 海角社区 campus and local community.

If you are a student veteran, know how very grateful we are for the sacrifices you and your family have made for our country! We make it a priority at 海角社区 to help make the educational experience for student veterans and military-connected students a success.

We have several resources available to you, including a full time Veteran's Advocacy Coordinator.

Accessibility Services

We may assume a disability is something obvious, like the need to use a wheelchair.  The reality is that many disabilities are not visible.  A disability is defined as a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activity.  Here are some examples of disabilities we work to help students with:

  • learning disabilities
  • anxiety disorders
  • ADHD
  • visual or hearing impairments
  • other disabilities

We are located upstairs on the East side of the Taylor Building. Please contact us at 208-732-6260, or drop by our office for further information or to schedule an appointment. More information and an intake form are also available on our student Accessibility Services website.

Student Clubs

Along with the many new things you are experiencing as a new or returning student, we invite you to look for ways to expand your horizons and live beyond going to class, studying, and taking exams. College is an excellent opportunity to grow as an individual and discover who you are, and being involved in activities beyond the classroom is an important part of your college experience.

We have many student organizations where you can meet new friends, pursue recreational or educational activities, gain valuable leadership experience or just connect with others who share your interests. Some of your best memories of college will be the interesting events and fun-filled activities you will enjoy outside of class!

海角社区 has more than 30 local and national clubs and organizations where you can pursue your interests, leadership skills, teamwork, cooperation, and communication. Organizations with a national affiliation generally promote educational and professional development. Other clubs, formed locally, encourage members to pursue cultural, recreational, religious, service, and social interests. These clubs and organizations sponsor and plan most of the activities and social functions on campus. All organizations must be recognized by the college and have an employee Advisor.

Here are just a few of the clubs you can find on campus:

  • Agriculture Club
  • Art Club
  • Dance Club
  • Bellegarth Club
  • Gay Straight Alliance
  • Generation Action Club
  • HOSA (Health Science Education)
  • HTEC (Hospitality, Tourism and Events Club)
  • NAfME (National Association of Music Educators)
  • National Society of Leadership & Success

To learn more and connect with a club, please check out 海角社区's student clubs and organizations website.
