Admission Steps

  1. Apply to 海角社区 and become a Golden Eagle: Fill out the free online form to Apply to 海角社区, then watch your email for your acceptance letter and instructions to get set up as a new student. 

  2. Take a mechanical reasoning test: All applicants interested in the Automotive Service Education Program (ASEP) need to complete the mechanical reasoning test in the 海角社区 Testing Center. You will need your 海角社区 student ID number and a valid photo ID with you in order to take the test. This is a timed 12-minute test. You must arrive one hour before closing, so be sure to check the current 海角社区 Testing Center hours of operation. 

  3. Prepare for additional required expenses:
    • Textbooks: $500
    • Tools: $1000--$4400 depending on quality and brand and preference
    • Course fees for whole program $190

     

    DO NOT purchase any of these items before you are officially accepted to the program!

  4. Fill out your application: Complete the online form to apply to 海角社区's Automotive Service Education program. The application for Fall 2025 admission will be available in the spring. Keep checking this page for updates.

  5. Meet with program manager: Schedule an appointment with program manager Robyn Swainston to discuss next steps.
  6. Secure a job: After your application is reviewed, you will need to secure a job with a GM Dealership or an approved AC/Delco shop where you will work throughout the duration of the program. You must obtain a job before being fully accepted into the program. Details will be covered during the program orientation.
