Items to bring for proctored º£½ÇÉçÇø exams

• Students are required to have a º£½ÇÉçÇø Student ID card to take a º£½ÇÉçÇø exam. ID cards can be obtained either at the following locations:
  • Taylor Building on the main campus
  • º£½ÇÉçÇø Library in the Meyerhoeffer Library Building on the main campus
  • Mini-Cassia location
  • Jerome location
  • HSHS building
• The first º£½ÇÉçÇø Student ID is free; replacement IDs are $3
• Items allowed for each exam are determined and approved by the instructor.
• Items prohibited in the testing centers can be found under the Testing Center Policies.

Make-up Exam for º£½ÇÉçÇø Courses

To reschedule/make-up a class exam, please contact the instructor. Instructors must approve make-up exams. The instructor will then contact the appropriate testing center and make arrangements for the approved rescheduled/make-up exam.

Distance Proctoring

Distance Proctoring (º£½ÇÉçÇø Students needing take a º£½ÇÉçÇø exam at another location)

Students not living in close proximity to a º£½ÇÉçÇø testing center and needing to take a º£½ÇÉçÇø exam (placement exam or class exam) must complete a Distance Proctor Request Form. All proctors must be approved through the class instructor. For proctor approval, complete and mail or fax the form to the class instructor.

It is the student's responsibility to locate an approved proctor and pay any associated costs for testing. Once approved, the student should also contact the proctor and set up an appointment to take the exam. Students unable to locate an approved proctor in their area may contact the Campus Testing Center by phone at 208-732-6532 or email at campustesting@csi.edu for assistance.

When a proctor is verified, all tests/testing information will be sent directly to the proctor by the instructor, along with proctoring guidelines.

Acceptable Proctors (Personal friends, family members, and co-workers are not considered approved proctors.)

To qualify as a proctor, an individual should hold one of the positions listed below:

• College or university
  • dean
  • department head
  • a professional staff member of the adult or continuing education office
  • counseling center
  • testing center

• Private or public school
  • superintendent
  • principal
  • department head
  • counselor
  • grade team leader

• City, county, etc.
  • certified librarian at a local library
  • civil service examiner

• Other
  • United States Armed Forces Educational Services officer

º£½ÇÉçÇø Placement Exam

Students of other College or Universities Testing at º£½ÇÉçÇø

The º£½ÇÉçÇø testing centers can provide a secure and proctored environment for students of other colleges and universities needing to take proctored exams. Any students needing to take an exam for another school at º£½ÇÉçÇø must first contact their school to make arrangements to take an exam at the º£½ÇÉçÇø.  The designated º£½ÇÉçÇø testing center must receive all proctoring information from the instructor or institution. The students should contact their college/university for requirements to test offsite. 

Please note that º£½ÇÉçÇø does not allow open-book exams, more than 2 pages of notes, or for any student to take an exam on a personal laptop/equipment.

º£½ÇÉçÇø distance proctoring for other colleges or universities requires the following:

• A $20 proctoring fee for each exam, paid at the time of the exam (cash or check)
• A valid photo ID such as a driver’s license or current/valid school student ID card

Students who are unsure if their exam materials have been received by º£½ÇÉçÇø should contact the testing center before coming to take the exam. If the testing center does not have your exam material, the student should contact the school responsible for sending the information. Please be aware that º£½ÇÉçÇø will not pay return shipping charges for an exam or any exam materials. If there is any cost associated with an exam, the student will be responsible for arranging payment with their school.
