We invite you to apply to the 海角社区! By submitting a complete admission application, you will automatically be considered for a 海角社区 scholarship without needing a separate application.

海角社区 Scholarship Overview

Please note that each scholarship has its priority date and deadline. To ensure the best consideration, it is recommended that the application be made by March 1st.

Parent-Specific Scholarships

海角社区 offers several scholarships to support students who are parents.

Departmental Scholarships

Athletic Scholarships

  • Athletic scholarships are determined by the standards established by each sport's coaching staff. Inquiries should be directed to the Athletic Department at 208-732-6486.

Cheerleading and Dance Scholarships

  • Scholarships are available with books paid for. Contact Julie Wright at 208-732-6472 or email jwright@csi.edu.

Communication Scholarship (Speech & Debate)

Honors Program Scholarships

  • Requires a separate application. Freshmen must have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and ACT/SAT scores at or beyond the 88th percentile. For more information, contact Brian Dobbs at 208-732-6266. Honors Program Website.

Visual and Performing Arts Scholarships

  • Music: Auditions held in early March. Call Sue Miller at 208-732-6769 to schedule. Apply here.
  • Theatre: Auditions through March by appointment. Call Shane Brown at 208-732-6174 or Burcu Seyben at 208-732-6780.
  • Visual Art: Portfolio submission due by the first Friday in April. Contact the Art Department at 208-732-6754. Apply here.
  • Dance: Materials to be mailed to the 海角社区 Dance Department. Contact Ashley Sandau at 208-732-6474 for questions.

Scholarship Programs

These scholarships are awarded based on the 海角社区 General Scholarship application.

  • Presidential Scholarships
    • Available to students who submit a 海角社区 Scholarship Application by the March 1st priority deadline, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, have less than 45 college credits, and are enrolled in 12+ credits. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • New Hope Scholarship
    • This is for first-generation students entering 海角社区 for the first time. Awards for part-time ($375) or full-time ($750) students based on GPA and credit completion.
  • Steele-Reese Foundation Scholarship
    • This is for students from Lemhi or Custer County, Idaho (including Challis, Leadore, Mackay, and Salmon). Awards range from $500 to $2,500 and are renewable. Must maintain a 3.0 GPA and be enrolled full-time.
